Another round of the Diamond Challenge will be played on Sunday.
With athletes from the provinces of San Juan, San Luis, other parts of the province, and the best from our city, the Los Reyunos area will host the 6th edition of the "Diamond Challenge" triathlon this Sunday. The event will consist of a 6.5 km kayak leg, a 28 km mountain bike leg, and a 7.5 km run, with both individual and relay options. The races will begin at the Los Reyunos dam at 9:00 AM, followed by the mountain bike leg, which will traverse the area's characteristic terrain, and will conclude with the run at Plaza Francia. Taking advantage of the beautiful sun of San Rafael and the abundant flow of the Atuel River
Once again, as in previous years, the second round of the Argentine Rafting Championship took place, this time in its various disciplines. It was held on the Atuel River in the Valle Grande area. After the four races—Sprint, Head to Head, Slalom, and Downriver—as is customary, a team from the city of San Rafael won the 'Open Men' category. Congratulations Cactus!!! In second and third place were Diamanteam, also from San Rafael, and Pala Ancha from the city of Mendoza. In the Women's Open category, Mandala (from the city of Mendoza) came in first, Atuel from San Rafael in second, and Delta in third. In the Masters category, Diamanteam from San Rafael came in first and Waikiki from Villa Pehuenia in second. In the Mixed category, Poseidon took first place and Mortal second. As always, Valle Grande was the star attraction, and Cabañas del Cerro was beautiful, full of flowers and with the roar of the Atuel River nearby. But it wasn't just Valle Grande; places like El Nihuil, Los Reyunos, and Villa 25 de Mayo were also packed this weekend. From November 10th to 12th, San Rafael will host the 65th National Vintage Motorcycle Rally. Participants from all over the country will travel in a caravan through San Rafael and its surrounding areas. On Saturday, the participants will ride through La Cuesta de los Terneros and Los Reyunos. They will also visit the Bianchi Winery and the Benelli Museum. On Sunday, they will head towards Valle Grande and the dam. A gala dinner will be held that evening. This year's rally covers 200 km and already has over 200 registered participants.
